This rock song follows a very basic format; its form is ABABAC. The A sections begin and end with the tonic, and the B sections begin and end with the subdominant. There is only a slight lyrical difference between the two verses. The ride cymbal joins the mix for the B sections and remains in the coda, where there are numerous crash cymbal hits added to the arrangement.

This song is about a girl forever lost within the nocturnal world of the Dionysian realms. It is expressive of the mixed emotions of the author, who desires her as a mate; however, he is well aware that such a situation would also be laden with many undesirable elements. The rage in the song is the emotional turmoil of the writer. His logical mind desperately tries to convince his animalistic passions to remain calm, so he can remain free from the trouble that would inevitably ensue if he were to be drawn into a swirling vortex of passion with this wild night mare of the dark realms.
