The acoustic guitar and bass set up an intricately interwoven groove that serves as the melodic and harmonic substance of the piece. The drum kit keeps the groove steady. After the first section, a four bar interlude sets up the dark B section of the piece that employs some minor key tensions on the acoustic guitar in order to provide a darker harmonic texture. After this section is over, the pony has emerged from the dark woods and begins prancing in the meadows once again as the entire form of the song repeats itself.
