A single pan flute sings above the marimbas lively chordal pattern. It is playing the melody that it will play for the rest of the piece. In the second section, the second pan flute joins in and adds a sweet contrapuntal figure that it will play for the rest of the song. When the main melody returns, the kick drum begins its steady rhythm, as the bass enters and the second flute performs a call and answer with the first flute in addition to its contrapuntal role. When the form repeats again, snare and choir are added, and when the form repeats one last time, triangle and horn section are added. The piece then ends as it begins...
